Very cute video - great recipe. Most ideas for low-cost christmas presents are tacky, but this sounds like the perfect present for teachers or family friends.

Great recipe! Though we always used evaporated milk and powdered sugar for our icing. Then it could be flavored with almond (my personal fav) or vanilla (most people's fav) or any other such flavoring. It has a more...spreadable? consistency to it...of course you only get pastel colors that way.... 
But still one of my families holiday favs.

Gingerbread ... along with eggnog, are SO CRUCIAL to the holidays. I love 'em. LOVE.
