Tacos De Lengua

My favorite Mexican restaurant does tacos de lengua, and they braise their tongue in a salsa verde... it practically melts in the mouth. Sooooo good.

I used to have one of those taco trucks on the corner of my street as a kid I used to walk down and carry like two bags of stuff home!I never had tongue and I'm a vegetarian but any suggestions for a vegetarian version?

I go down to this little Spanish restaurant and my mom made me try tacos de lengua. It is now the only thing I ever get there. The taste of it is so amazing and it's about two dollars for one taco. I wish I knew where to get a cow tongue because I would really love to try making my own. You two did an amazing job with the video by the way.

I've always been a minimalist when it comes to my lengua tacos. Slow cook overnight in a little bit of water then eat in a tortilla with lemon and salt. I'll have to try y'alls recipe. It sounds delicious!

Nice episode. I too have experienced tongue sandwiches when I visited a family on a dairy farm. They cooked their tongue overnight in a slowcooker and then made sandwiches. It really is a very soft meat and kinda odd tasting. But I don't think i'll go out and make it myself because after spending time with the calfs, I don't have the desire. Keep up the great episodes.

Oh man, I love tacos de lengua. With a little bit of chopped cilantro and onion, I'm in heaven. I wonder what tongue sandwich is like.

I used to love tongue until I saw it was .... a tongue. But this recipe inspires me to try it again. Peach salsa looks yummy!
