Eggless Breakfast

I am so into your show! I can't stop talking about it. Amazing! Have you ever added Milk and just ate the granola as a cereal? It sounds like it might be great. Compost was a little sweet for me and I switched to sweetner but that was also strange. My favorite is greek fruit on the bottom yougart on top of a bit of microwaved granola! Anyhow.. I finally enjoy breakfast! Any ideas for thingd to add to the granola???

hey, so to make the compote if you just place the fruit in a bowl and cover with the sugar and refrigerate overnight, you don't need to add water- and the flavor is more intense!

This looks delicious!  My question, though, is whether the almonds are essential- I'm allergic to all nuts except for peanuts, so an almond granola would spell my doom.

I Made the granola...wont be buying granola anymore. I also made a compote with what I had on hand, frozen mangoes...my husband says he wont be buying any jam or jelly anymore, he loved it! Thanks guys!

Hi, Well I´m brazilian and Ican tell to you: yes is possible to do  good banana compote. First you caramelize the suggar and add some orange juice or water, let simmer for a while (to melt the caramelized suggar) and add chopped banana. Leave for 5 five minutes (or until sirup) to cook the bananas and it is done. Like the granola, it´s delicious with ice-cream.

And about bananas - does it have to be a compote? You can mix a banana and figs with blender - it's really delicious combination :D

I loved it, so... how long can it last if I put in the fridge, I live by myself so almost everything I cook is too much for one meal to eat.

Banana compote --- hmmm ... well, I've thrown a lot of bananas in the COMPOST, does that count? (wakka wakka). But this breakfast looked great - I love a simple granola and fruit breakfast.
