How To Make Candy as a Christmas Gift

Wow. That looks amazing, and so easy. It's definitely going on my list of recipes to try. As to fruit cake -- everyone I know hates it. My family makes grooms cake (also known as rum cake). It's a fruit cake (dark molasses cake with dried fruit in it) but it's wrapped in cheese cloth and carefully drizzled with rum about once or twice a month for three to six months. When served we layer it with homemade preserves, thickened cream, or even just butter. Delicious.

MY favourites are definately chocolate coated peanutbutter balls, hoemade skor and shortbread cookies.

Now I know what to get with my other Flora favorite -- salted caramels. Yum!

Yum.. Yes I am investing in a good scale after the holidays ( maybe I will get one as a gift). My absolute favorite holiday cook are date nut squares, they are not the southern date ball.. But a delish baked confection.. yes I say confection because when they cool you roll the squares in powdered sugar to transform them from delish to heavenly!.... love this show.. watch religiously!

This looks amazing. The only challenge is not having a scale to measure...any translation to teaspoons, talespoons, etc.?
