Just wondering, how long would the Butterbeer syrup last? Like, could you just keep it in your fridge and save it for another time or do you have to make it again?

i love harry potter and j.k.Rowling.Luna Neville Ginny and even the best guy Snape i love.
you should do a series of 'movie foods'! You just did butterbeer from HP, next maybe you should make 'mrs beans nutmeg ginger apple snaps' from the movie, "the fantastic mr fox."
I always figured butterbeer was alcoholic in the books (considering House Elves get drunk in it, and at one point they mention Slughorn "being under the influence of butterbeer"), so adding alcohol really just made it more traditional to the books.
How to make ButterBeer
Ingredients:
3/4 cup of Brown Sugar
2 Tablespoons of Water
5 Tablespoons of Softened Butter
1 Tablespoon of Fresh Lemon Juice
1/2 a Teaspoon of Salt
1 Tablespoon of Vanilla Extract
1 Liter of Seltzer Water
1 Bottle of Burbon
Stir together 3/4 cup of Brown Sugar with 2 tablespoons of water in a sauce pan on medium high heat. Stir to keep from burning. Keep a cup of water near by to keep the spatula from sticking to any surfaces. Warm brown sugar to 240 degrees farenheit. In a separate bowl combine 5 tablespoons of slightly softened butter, 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, half a teaspoon of salt and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract. When the brown sugar and water mixture is the right temperature remove it from the heat and stir it into the butter mixture. Stir in 1/4 cup heavy cream and let cool slightly.1 liter of seltzer water.
Pour 2 or 3 tablespoons of the butterbeer syrup into a mug and top with the seltzer water and stir. For adults add a shot of Burbon.

How many glasses would you say this makes? I'm planning a party for a large group and it would be very helpful for shopping lists! :) This is brilliant, and I love the idea of adding burbon just for the grown ups. :)
